I began my career in horticulture in 2006 as an apprentice gardener.
I gained experience working within an estate garden, maintained domestic gardens and completed landscape projects. In 2008 I began studying plantsmanship in depth.
During my studies I worked within the 167 acre world renowned Hillier’s gardens in Hampshire. I graduated from college in 2010 with full distinction in decorative horticulture.
In early 2011 I began managing a 7 acre Cotswold garden as head gardener. The gardens had recently been completely redesigned by Justin Spink.
In 2012 I was given sole responsibility for a 7 acre garden in North Oxfordshire. I completed landscape projects, grew seasonal vegetables for the house and I grew numerous Dahlia and Begonia for summer colour whilst maintaining the garden throughout the year. The garden comprised of summer flowering borders and extensive lawns including a croque lawn.
I displayed the garden to the public each June through national garden scheme’s yellow books.
I have been trading for over three years and I am delighted to say I have a small, loyal clientele.
